About the Event
Tapas are a revered tradition in Spanish cuisine, but they're much more than just small dishes of food. They represent a lifestyle, a way of eating, and a social experience. The word "tapas" comes from the Spanish verb "tapar," which means "to cover." The original concept was that a small plate of food was served on top of a glass to protect it from flies.
In this class you will be taught by chef Alejandro Sanchez. He will walk students through making 3 different types of Tapas.
You will go step by step in preparing all the ingredients, going over plating techniques and at the end get to enjoy the fruits of your labor with your fellow classmates!
Menu for class is as follows:
Beef Tartare
Steak with Chimichurri
Smoked Salmon Rose Puff Pastry Bites
Scallops
Class will also enjoy a fresh seasonal salad, local bread with european butter once it is time to eat!
Complimentary refreshments and wine will be served during the class. You are welcomed to bring your own wine of your choosing as well.
You will be provided all the necessary cooking equipment, an apron, and recipe cards to follow each step during the class.
It is suggested to wear comfortable shows. No dangling sleeves, or jewelry. Long hair should be tied back.
The class is taking place in a commerical kitchen setting, we will go over all safety and hygiene precautions before class begins.
